Fun in the sun with T1

We had another fun play date with a friend I met through a Facebook group of families dealing with type 1 diabetes. It was supposed to be 4 moms and their CWD (child with diabetes) but sadly two of the other moms couldn’t make it.
So instead of making some new friends we got to play with some we haven’t seen since last year.
The boys had lots of fun playing at the park, going down the slides, running around, and playing with bubbles.
The adults got to catch up in between bouts of running after kids and trying to keep them within sight.
Especially Gabriel, who ran and ran and ran!
It was so cool to show both boys that they had the same dexcom cgm!
Gabriel ended up starting his nap at the park.
The boys played until they couldn’t play anymore!
Even though they were obviously wiped out they kept saying, “I’m not tired!”
After lots of fun we all headed home. We however decided to make a stop on the way home…
We were so hot from running around at the park….
That we needed something super cold to drink…
So we got slurpees!!! Yummy!
Hopefully with all that exercise our little ones will sleep blissfully through the night tonight!
