Five Minute Friday: Grasp

No extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation.

Unscripted. Unedited. Real.

It started because I’d been thinking about writing and how often our perfectionism gets in the way of our words. And I figured, why not take 5 minutes and see what comes out: not a perfect post, not a profound post, just five minutes of focused writing.

So now on Fridays a group of people who love to throw caution to the wind and just write without worrying if it’s just right gather to share what five minutes buys them. Just five minutes.

Your words. This shared feast.

It’s easy to join in, just:

  1. Check what the prompt is on my blog.
  2. Write a post in only five minutes on that topic on your blog.
  3. Link over here and invite friends to join in.
  4. Select the permalink to your post {so not your blog url but your post url }
  5. Using the linky tool at the bottom of my Five Minute Friday post enter your link.
  6. Your post will show up in our Five Minute Friday linky.
  7. Be sure and encourage the person who linked up before you!

Our most important requirement for participation: There’s really only one absolute, no ifs, ands or buts about it Five Minute Friday rule: you must visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community.

Better late than never….

I feel like so many things are almost within my grasp:

A good night’s sleep which would lead to the energy I would need to start eating better and exercising again.

Gabriel actually slept from 1:30 am until 6:40 am this morning, I was so excited! (Even though I couldn’t seem to sleep in past 6 am)

TJ’s blood sugar levels being under control, between his pump and his CGM we should have his numbers somewhat stable—as stable as can be expected. Obviously his numbers will never be really stable but we should be able to keep him within range, I don’t know 80% to 90% of the time, barring any illness or growth spurts (or him sneaking candy).

I’m really excited to get back on track! I probably shouldn’t be too excited over one night’s decent sleep, but I’m hoping and praying it’s the beginning of a trend! J

  1. Sweet post.

  2. I know that feeling, that things are beginning to come together. My battles aren’t the same as yours, but the feeling is, and I think we all have those times in our lives. I’m glad things are looking up for you! 🙂
