Last Thursday started out not so fun. TJ need his sight moved (day 3—again!)
He has been fighting the infusion sets lately. Crying about how they hurt. L We’ve even tried icing before the big poke, but that doesn’t really help.
He really is a good sport overall though. I can’t imagine having to go through all this, especially being only 3yrs old!
After that we went to little kids diabetes camp. TJ had so much fun! J
They had lots of fun activities for the kids. Dr. sets to play with, a fishing boat to fish from, and so much more!
He caught one! J
TJ even gave his cousin Sydney a shot!
Grandma and Grandpa came too!
Daddy helped TJ decorate a visor! J
And after all the fun all the T1 kids had lunch! Pizza and veggies and fruit, with crystal light punch or milk. TJ refused pizza but ate carrots and strawberries and milk. All the kids checked their sugars and counted their carbs. And on the way out the kids got backpacks filled with gifts! J TJ loves his backpack. He wears it everywhere! I actually started putting his kit in it so he can carry his own kit around now. J We’ll see how long that lasts.
And now I have to go calm down a screaming Gabriel and change TJ’s infusion site again! Wish me luck! 😉
